The Montreux Jazz Festival has been going on for almost 50 years now, and is known to be the second largest Jazz festival in the entire world. Apparently, with every year that goes by, it keeps getting bigger. So, each year, you will be able to enjoy something different. Something unique about this festival is its venue, as it’s located by Lake Geneva, giving a beautiful scenery for everyone to appreciate while listening to some of your favourite Jazz artists. Montreal, Canada: Montreal International Jazz Festival
Recorded in the Guinness book of World Records itself, this is the biggest Jazz Festival in the entire world. Over 2 million people fly from all over the world just to visit this monstrous fest that holds over 1,000 concerts. This place does not even need an introduction. The entire city turns into a pedestrian-only area, giving everyone the chance to stroll around and enjoy what they please. Now, if you plan on doing some sightseeing while you are there, you might have a hard time, because concerts are playing throughout the entire day and do not end until midnight or so. Only covering a span of two days, this festival has become the most popular jazz festival in all of Africa, drawing a lot of attention. The difference between this jazz festival and the others, is that it is relatively small, and it mixes in a lot of African influence, as well as using other kinds of artistic shows that include fashion, photography, and more. It not only offers shows, but even some fascinating masterclasses and workshops for all kinds of artists.
